Since commencing business in 2024 the price of our Hāngi Cookers has remained unchanged, this is both a point of pride but has been threatening the long-term financial health and structural stability of our business for some time.

After almost two years of trade, we can no longer absorb the significant price increases of raw stainless steel material costs, nor can we continue to absorb the skyrocketed fuel expenses driven by international supply-chain disruptions, raw material volatility, and its impact on shipping premium hikes and overall expense.

In order to maintain solvency and continue to trade the price of our Hāngi Cookers needs to increase, this decision has been weighing heavy for some months, and has reached the point of necessity to ensure that we can continue to enable access to convenient cultural cooking equipment for Māori and other Polynesians living in Australia.

To remain fully transparent with our customers our website is undergoing a redesign that will be completed in a staged manner throughout September, return customers may notice some temporary inconsistencies as we work through the re-design process while still maintaining the functionality of our accessories and hire listings alongside the renovation of our Hāngi Cookers data.

Additionally, after a challenging year which has been severely impacted by a completely unusable shipment of inventory from one of our manufacturing partners that did not meet our strict quality and safety standards, we are looking forward to the launch of an innovative new basket product which will provide greater versatility and cooking results compared with our previous Hāngi Cooker baskets.

• To ensure the long-term future of our business, permanent price increases of our Hāngi Cooker products will take effect from the 1st of October 2026.

• The new prices of our Hāngi Cookers will be published after the 11th of September 2026.

• Invoices dated after the 4th of August will be honoured. Invoices from previous months that have not been acted upon are voided.

• New order inquiries received after the 4th of September will be quoted to reflect the updated rates starting next month.
